Sunboard Printing — Rigid Foam Board Signage

Sunboard is the go-to rigid panel for indoor signage: light enough to stick on a wall, stiff enough to stand alone. We print vinyl at full resolution, mount it on 3 mm or 5 mm sunboard and cut to any shape — from reception name boards to full exhibition stall panels.

What sunboard is best for

Sunboard's strength is rigidity per rupee. It is the default for anything that must look flat and clean indoors.

  • Reception and office name boards
  • Exhibition and stall panels
  • Cut-out standees and photo booth props
  • Menu boards, price lists and wayfinding
  • Wedding and event welcome boards

3 mm or 5 mm?

Use 3 mm for anything wall-mounted or under about 2 × 3 feet — it is lighter and cheaper. Use 5 mm for free-standing cut-outs, large panels and anything that will be handled repeatedly, because 3 mm bows and dents once the panel gets big.

Finishing options

Add matte lamination to kill glare under office lighting, gloss to deepen colours, and a laminated edge band for a finished look. We supply easel backs for table-top boards, keyhole slots or foam tape for wall mounting, and MDF bases for tall cut-out standees.

Frequently asked questions

What is sunboard printing?

Sunboard printing is printed self-adhesive vinyl mounted onto a rigid foam PVC panel, usually 3 mm or 5 mm thick. The result is a lightweight, flat board used for indoor signage, exhibition panels, name boards and cut-out standees.

Is sunboard waterproof and can it go outdoors?

Sunboard itself resists water, but the panel warps in direct sun and heavy rain over time, so it is best used indoors or under a covered area. For long-term outdoor signage, use ACP board or flex on a frame instead.

Should I choose 3 mm or 5 mm sunboard?

Choose 3 mm for wall-mounted boards up to roughly 2 × 3 feet — it is lighter and cheaper. Choose 5 mm for free-standing cut-outs, large exhibition panels and anything handled repeatedly, because thinner board bows at larger sizes.

How is sunboard priced?

Sunboard is priced per square foot, with the rate covering printing, vinyl mounting and straight cutting. Shape cutting, lamination, easel backs and mounting kits are added per panel.
