Flex Printing — Banners, Hoardings & Backdrops
Flex printing is the workhorse of outdoor advertising in India — shop banners, event backdrops, wedding hoardings and road-side boards. We print on star flex, backlit and blockout media at full outdoor resolution, then finish with eyelets, rod pockets or frame-ready hems so the banner is ready to hang the day it arrives.
- Star flex, backlit & blockout media
- Priced per square foot — no minimum size
- Eyelets, hemming & rod pockets included
- Same-day print on approved artwork
Which flex material should you choose?
Media choice comes down to where the banner hangs and whether light passes through it.
- Star flex (front-lit): the standard shop banner and hoarding material — bright whites, good outdoor life.
- Backlit flex: translucent, made for light boxes and glow-sign frames so the artwork lights up evenly at night.
- Blockout flex: an opaque black core, so a double-sided banner does not show the reverse print through it.
- Vinyl on flex: for premium finishes and shorter-run indoor backdrops where you want a smoother surface.
Artwork setup for flex printing
Large-format flex is viewed from a distance, so file size matters less than you think — but the setup rules are strict.
- Build the file at 1/10th scale at 300 DPI, or full size at 72–100 DPI.
- Keep all text at least 3 inches inside the trim so eyelets never punch through it.
- Send CMYK, with fonts outlined, as PDF, AI or a flattened TIFF.
- Tell us the finished size in feet (width × height) — flex is quoted and cut in feet.
Finishing and installation
Every banner ships finished. Standard delivery includes welded hems on all four sides and brass eyelets every 2 feet. Ask for rod pockets when the banner goes on a stand, or a Velcro edge for repeat-use event backdrops. Installation hardware — pipe frames, X-stands and hanging kits — can be added to the order.
Pricing at a glance
Flex is priced per square foot. Width × height in feet gives your area — a 6 ft × 4 ft banner is 24 sq.ft.
Exact prices update live on each product page as you choose size, material and quantity. Delivery charges are confirmed when your order is ready to dispatch.
Frequently asked questions
How is flex printing priced?
Flex printing is priced per square foot. Multiply the banner width by its height in feet to get the area — a 6 ft × 4 ft banner is 24 sq.ft. Backlit and blockout media cost more per sq.ft. than standard star flex. Hemming and eyelets are included in our rate.
What is the difference between star flex and backlit flex?
Star flex is an opaque front-lit material used for ordinary banners and hoardings that are lit from the front or seen in daylight. Backlit flex is translucent and designed for light boxes and glow sign boards, so the artwork stays bright and even when lit from behind at night.
What resolution should flex banner artwork be?
Build the artwork at one-tenth of the final size at 300 DPI, or at full size at 72–100 DPI. Flex is viewed from several feet away, so higher resolution adds file size without any visible gain. Vector artwork is always safest.
How long does flex printing take?
Once artwork is approved, standard flex banners print the same day and dispatch within 24 hours. Large hoardings and multi-panel jobs typically take 2–3 working days including finishing.
